Adriatic Cafe Italian cuisine now open in Katy

More than 20 years ago, Ekrem Hyseni and Alban Bulliqi came to America, bringing with them dishes from the kitchens of Venice, Italy. Now their restaurant, Adriatic Cafe, serves these dishes to the people of Katy.

The Adriatic Cafe, specializing in Italian dishes, opened its doors at the end of December in Katy. Located at 27240 Katy Freeway, the restaurant offers popular Italian cuisine served with signature sauces. Katy’s location is the Adriatic Cafe’s fourth location in the Houston area.

The most popular dishes are lasagna and chicken alfredo, said Ben Hoxha, manager of the Adriatic Cafe. Pizzas and calzones are also popular dishes.

The restaurant offers full lunch and dinner menus with traditional Italian cuisine. The Adriatic Cafe also offers an extensive wine list with over 40 vintages. Catering options are also available.

The restaurant only opened a few days ago, Hoxha noted, but the business is already seeing a steady stream of customers, many of whom have dined at other Adriatic cafes.

“Our customers are very loyal and they support us every day,” Hoxha said. “We don’t advertise. Our publicity is word of mouth, and our customers tell everyone what kind of experience they have here, and that’s the best publicity for us.

Adriatic Cafe’s business model is family and community centric, Hoxha added. Employees are family members and customers are guests.

“For the Katy community, this is their home,” Hoxha said. “Our restaurant is community-based and owned by the people who live here. We welcome everyone, and we love serving food and making everyone happy.”
