The gastronomic and oenological excellences of Lazio arrive at Expo Dubai 2020 on the occasion of the Week of Italian Cuisine Worldwide. The “Eternal City” region brings its food supply chain to the Emirates, to offer local companies the opportunity to enter or consolidate in foreign markets and present the best of its agro-industrial sector to the world. . The flagship event will be the Agribusiness Forum, scheduled for 25and of November. The event, dedicated to technology and sustainability, will count among its speakers Carlo Hausmann, Managing Director of Agro Camera, chefs Antonello Colonna and Alessandro Miceli, as well as buyers, industry leaders in the Gulf countries and representatives of the twelfth edition of “World Summit of Italian Cuisine”.
During the day, the Bracciano hub for innovative projects in the field of entrepreneurship and start-up in the agri-food supply chain will be presented. Videos and the special “Best in Lazio” insert, dedicated to the excellences of the territory in collaboration with Gambero Rosso, will also be broadcast. The day will end with a dinner-promotion of the territory and the quality production of Lazio, cooked by the starred chef Antonello Colonna.
Lazio’s agri-food sector has around 50,000 companies and 70,000 workers. The sector’s export recorded, in 2020, a value of more than 1 billion euros, 65.5 million more than in 2018. Lazio ranks fifth among the most representative Italian regions for typical production, with 29 food products and 36 wines which have obtained the recognition of the mark of origin of the European Union.
